She had never attempted to treat the condition prior. Patients typically do 3 treatments. Traction alopecia is a common type of hair loss caused by tight hair styles. It can start as early as childhood. Although it is not necessarily permanent, it can cause scarring which mean hair would not grow back. Sometimes traction alopecia causes damage such that the hair follicle is damaged but not dead. In this case, treatment, such as with Alma TED, would help the hair grow back.
