The American Hair Loss Association is a nonprofit organization that provides information and support to people with hair loss. They also fund research into hair loss causes and treatments.

National Alopecia Areata Foundation (NAAF)

The National Alopecia Areata Foundation is a nonprofit organization that provides support, advocacy, and education to people affected by alopecia areata, a type of autoimmune hair loss.

Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP)

Children’s Alopecia Project is a nonprofit organization that provides support to children and young adults with alopecia areata. They also aim to raise awareness and promote acceptance of the condition.

Camp Discovery

A service of the American Academy of Dermatology, Camp Discovery offers children living with a chronic skin condition a one-of-a-kind camp experience. Provided at no cost to the families, Camp Discovery is one week of fun for kids with conditions including alopecia.

Locks of Love

Locks of Love is a nonprofit organization that provides hair prosthetics from donate ponytails for children suffering from hair loss.  You can apply to donate or receive hair.

Women’s Hair Loss Project

The Women’s Hair Loss Project is a website and online community that provides information and support to women with hair loss. They also raise awareness about the impact of hair loss on women’s lives.

Bald Girls Do Lunch

Bald Girls Do Lunch is a nonprofit organization that provides support to women with hair loss, particularly those with alopecia areata. They also raise awareness about the condition and promote self-acceptance.

The Crown Act

The Crown Act is a legislative campaign to end hair discrimination against people of African descent who wear natural hair styles in school and at work. Pressure to wear styles that don’t conform to hair texture can be a trigger of hair loss.

The Scarring Alopecia Foundation (SAF)

Formerly known as the Cicatricial Alopecia Research Foundation (CARF) is provides patient support, advocacy, awareness and research support regarding scarring alopecia.

Legal Defense Fund (LDF)

The Legal Defense Fund is the nations premiere organization advocating for racial justice.  This includes providing resources about The Crown Act and preventing hair discrimination

The Global Healthy Living Foundation (GHLF)

The Global Healthy Living Foundation provides FREE education to beauty professional through their program HEROES (Health Education + Reliable Outreach + Empathetic Support). This program equips beauty professionals to better support clients living with scalp and other skin conditions. This program is designed by, with, and for stylists, salons, and barbershops, with input from patients and health care professionals.
